PDO Thread Lifts in
Ventura & Thousand Oaks
Lift Naturally. Reclaim Your Confidence.
At XOXO Beauty Med Spa, we believe that aging gracefully means looking refreshed, not overdone. Our advanced PDO Thread Lift treatment offers a safe, non-surgical way to lift and tighten sagging skin by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production.
Whether you're seeing early signs of aging or seeking a subtle lift without fillers or surgery, PDO Threads deliver natural-looking definition with minimal downtime.
What Is a PDO Thread Lift?
PDO (Polydioxanone) Thread Lifts use ultra-fine, biodegradable sutures placed just beneath the skin to reposition tissue, improve contour, and trigger deep collagen regeneration. Over time, these threads dissolve safely, leaving behind firmer, smoother, and lifted skin.
You’ll notice immediate improvement, with full results unfolding over the next few months as your skin rebuilds itself from within.
The Benefits of PDO Threads:
Non-surgical lift for cheeks, jawline, neck, and brows
Improved skin texture and elasticity
Natural collagen boost for long-term firmness
Minimal downtime and no general anesthesia
Long-lasting results (up to 18 months)
Treatment Areas We Target With PDO Threads
We use strategic thread placements to sculpt and refresh facial structure:
Treatment Area | What It Treats |
---|---|
Lower Face Lift | Jowls, smile lines, jawline sagging |
Neck Lift | Loose neck skin, lack of definition |
Brow/Upper Face Lift | Hooded lids, lowered brows, fine forehead lines |
Combo Package | Multi-zone lift for full facial rejuvenation |
Your plan is customized based on anatomy, age, and skin goals.
Mono Threads - Collagen Stimulation and Fat Reduction
Mono threads are single, smooth PDO threads used to stimulate collagen and tighten tissue. They do not provide the same mechanical lift as barbed threads, but they encourage collagen remodeling and can help refine laxity and surface texture.
Why we use them
Mono threads are ideal for collagen stimulation and mild skin tightening. When placed strategically they can also help soften small areas of localized fat by tightening the overlying skin, making them useful for the neck, submental area, mini jowls, and select body areas.
Common treatment areas
Neck, submental area (under the chin), mini jowls, mid and lower face, and small body zones where skin laxity or mild fat pockets are present.
What to expect
Placement is quick with local numbing. You may see subtle tightening immediately, with progressive improvement over 6 to 12 weeks as collagen forms. Downtime is minimal. Results vary by anatomy and lifestyle.
Best paired with
Mono threads work well alongside PDO lift threads, energy-based skin tightening, or a targeted facial revolumization plan for more complete improvement.
Lip Pop - Upper Lip Volume and Vertical Line Reduction
Lip Pop uses very fine mono threads placed into the upper lip to provide gentle volume, support the vermilion border, and soften vertical lip lines. It is a subtle, natural option for clients who want lip improvement without fillers.
Why we use it
Threads add structure and stimulate collagen, which helps lift and smooth the lip area while maintaining natural movement. This is a good option for thinning lips or pronounced vertical lines.
What to expect
Treatment is quick and performed with topical and local numbing. Expect some swelling and tenderness for a few days. Improvements appear as swelling settles and collagen develops over the following weeks.
Longevity
Results typically last several months to a year depending on lifestyle and anatomy. Touch ups are available and are determined during follow up.
What to Expect from Your PDO or Mono Thread Treatment
Consultation - Full facial assessment in Ventura (Weds/Fri) or Thousand Oaks (Mon). Dana Duarte, NP, maps the thread pattern to your anatomy and goals.
Preparation - Local numbing is applied. We use sterile technique and medical grade threads for safety.
Thread Insertion - Threads are placed with a fine cannula or needle. You will feel pressure but minimal pain.
Post-Treatment Protocol - Most clients return to normal activity the same day. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur. We provide clear aftercare steps to protect thread placement and support collagen formation.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
You may be a great fit if you:
Have mild to moderate facial laxity or early volume loss
Prefer subtle, natural changes instead of surgery or heavy filler
Want to address the neck, submental area, mini jowls, or lips with low downtime
Not a fit if you have excessive laxity, certain autoimmune conditions, or bleeding disorders. A consultation determines safety and the best approach.
How Long Do Results Last?
Most clients see an immediate lift, with collagen-driven improvements over 3 to 6 months. PDO and mono thread results typically last 12 to 18 months, sometimes longer. Lip thread results may last several months to a year. Maintenance sessions can extend outcomes.
